Developing Proficient Nurse Practitioners for the Future with Georgetown University #### Learn how we’re helping Georgetown University train more nursing professionals in a variety of critical specializations through high-quality online education and in-person clinical placements. *Georgetown University is one of several partners featured in our *[*2022 Transparency & Outcomes Report*](https://impact.edx.org/?hsLang=en)* that collaborate with us to deliver innovative, high-quality online learning experiences that drive strong outcomes for learners around the world. *   ### **Expanding Access** For more than 12 years, [Georgetown University](https://www.edx.org/school/georgetownx) has partnered with 2U to bring its world-renowned nursing program to learners across the U.S. and educate the healthcare workforce of the future.  Together, we have created a series of online graduate degrees that brings Georgetown’s tradition of “caring for the whole person” to communities across the globe.  Online nursing programs include a [Master of Science in Nursing](https://www.edx.org/masters/georgetown-master-of-science-in-nursing)—with specializations in family nursing, women’s health, midwifery, and adult gerontology—as well as a [Doctor of Nursing Practice](https://www.edx.org/doctorate/georgetown-doctor-of-nursing-practice) and Post-Graduate Certificates.  Georgetown also offers 27 [open courses](https://www.edx.org/search?q=georgetown&tab=course) and three [professional certificates](https://www.edx.org/search?q=georgetown&tab=program) on edX in a variety of STEM and humanities topics.  ### **Achieving Strong Student Outcomes** Throughout our partnership, the number of graduates going into their communities to make a positive impact has continued to grow.  By the end of 2022, over 2,700 students had graduated from Nursing@Georgetown degree programs with an average board passage rate of over 96% across all programs. In total, students also clocked over 2 million clinical hours at placement sites across the country and delivered over 14,300 babies. “I truly enjoy working with Nursing@Georgetown students,” says Gary Foster, a program graduate who’s now a preceptor for 2U as the Director of Clinical Operations at Dallas Agape Clinic. “Not just because I also came from that program, but because I’ve never hosted a single one who hasn’t been prepared.
