Cambridge, MA – edX.org, the trusted platform for learning, today announced the appointment of four new leadership roles, signaling an exciting time of growth for the Harvard and MIT founded nonprofit. Johannes Heinlein, former Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at edX, has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships; Lauren Holliday, former Senior Director of Product, has been promoted to Vice President of Product; Stephanie Brocoum has been hired as Chief Marketing Officer; and JP Beaudry has been hired as Vice President of Engineering.

Expanding into his new role, Heinlein will define and deploy growth strategies across all of edX’s business lines, including its enterprise offering, edX for Business. In her new role, Holliday will lead the consumer experience and development of edX’s product lines, including the innovative MicroMasters® programs and stackable, disruptively priced online degree programs.

Brocoum, former CMO at Yaymaker and vice president of marketing and member of the founding team at Rue La La, brings expertise in creating successful marketing strategies for global brands. She will lead marketing activity for edX, developing and implementing strategies to further build the edX brand and to drive continued awareness of edX’s innovative offerings.

Beaudry, former senior director of technology at Vistaprint, brings expertise in streamlining operational excellence. He will lead software engineering initiatives across all of edX including product development, cloud infrastructure, data warehouse and the open source project, Open edX.

“Johannes, Lauren, Stephanie and JP all bring unique and diverse experiences in driving growth and innovation at successful online businesses, and I am thrilled for them to bring their knowledge to edX,” said Adam Medros, COO and President. “This year we are focused on growing our learner base, expanding our consumer and enterprise offerings and developing new learning experiences that address the needs of today’s global workforce. I am excited to continue to work with Johannes and Lauren, and welcome Stephanie and JP, as we work towards edX’s mission of increasing access to education for everyone, everywhere.”

These appointments come at an exciting time for edX, as the company continues to grow, expanding its global learner base to over 20 million learners and offering new, innovative programs and credentials designed to help learners advance their careers. edX recently announced the launch of ten fully online Master’s degrees on edX, including an online MBA from Boston University Questrom School of Business. These degrees are the next step towards realizing edX’s vision for stackable learning experiences, which started with the groundbreaking MicroMasters® programs. The new Master’s degree programs are top-ranked, high quality programs that are offered in the most in-demand fields and are available at a fraction of the cost of a traditional on-campus Master’s degree.
